Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development inaugurated new international branch of Pakistan School in Al Seeb Muscat. The event was attended by the Chaudhry Imran Ali, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, Dr. Khadija Al Salami Director General Private Schools, Ministry of Education Oman and Pakistani and Omani community.

Pakistan School System already has seven branches in Oman with an enrolment of more than 8500 students in the morning and evening sessions. Pakistan School System has the distinction that students of 27 nationalities are studying here which speaks volumes of the trust the Oman residents repose in Pakistan Schools. Due to the increasing number of students in the Pakistan Schools, the Oman Government has granted a two-acre piece of land for the new Pakistan International School which would be ready in eighteen-month time.

The Minister appreciated the effort of the Embassy and School Board in the betterment of Pakistan schools in Oman. He urged the school administration to not only focus on imparting education but also on character-building of the students to make them true ambassadors of Pakistan. He said that students of different backgrounds are studying Pakistan Schools in harmony which is a reflection of the values of tolerance, understanding and unity that the Pakistan Schools have fostered.
